Therapy looks different for everyone. At GEM, individual sessions are a collaborative space where you can talk openly about what you're experiencing, better understand your thoughts and emotions, and develop tools to help you navigate life's challenges.
Sessions are tailored to your age, needs, and goals, with a warm and compassionate approach that meets you where you are. Whether you're supporting a child through big emotions, navigating a new stage of life, or adjusting to motherhood, you don't have to figure everything out on your own.
Explore the support options below to find the approach that feels right for you.
Individual Therapy Sessions
Free 15-Minute Consultation
Let's see if GEM is the right fit for you.
Not sure where to start? A free 15-minute consultation is an opportunity to briefly connect, share what you're looking for, and ask any questions you may have about counselling. We'll talk about what you're hoping to get support with, what you're looking for in a therapist, and whether my approach and services feel like the right fit for you.
If I feel that another type of support or provider may be better suited to your needs, I'm happy to offer recommendations or referral resources when I can.
There is no pressure or commitment—just a chance to connect and see where to go from here.
Sessions: Free (15 minutes)
Format: Phone
Children & Youth
Helping young people feel understood, supported, and confident in navigating their world.
Children and teens may not always have the words to explain what they're feeling. Counselling can give them a safe, welcoming space to express themselves, build emotional awareness, and develop tools that feel meaningful to them.
Sessions are adapted to each child's age, developmental stage, personality, and needs. Depending on the child or teen, sessions may include:
Play-based therapeutic activities
Art, drawing, and creative expression
Emotion identification and emotional regulation activities
Mindfulness and grounding exercises
CBT-based strategies and coping tools
Storytelling, games, and therapeutic activities
Journaling and reflection
Building self-esteem, confidence, and resilience
Exploring friendships, boundaries, and social challenges
Developing strategies for anxiety, stress, and big emotions
For younger children, counselling may look less like traditional talk therapy and more like play, creativity, movement, and activities that help them communicate and process their experiences in an age-appropriate way.
For teens, sessions may involve more conversation and collaborative strategies while still incorporating creative or interactive tools when helpful.
Sessions: $120 (50 minutes)
Format: Available in person and virtually

Individual counselling for mothers and mothers-to-be as they prepare for pregnancy, navigate pregnancy, and adjust to the transition into motherhood and life after having a baby. Sessions provide a supportive space to explore emotions, expectations, identity, anxiety, overwhelm, and the many changes that can come with motherhood.

In-Home Postnatal Support
Support in the comfort of your own home.
The early weeks after having a baby can be a big adjustment. In-home postnatal sessions provide an opportunity to check in, talk through how you're doing, and receive support without having to leave home.

Format: In the client’s home
30-Minute Support Check-Ins
Sometimes you don't need a full session—you just need a little extra support.
30-minute check-ins offer a shorter, focused opportunity to reconnect, talk through something that has come up, review coping strategies, or receive support between longer sessions.
Check-ins can be completed virtually or by phone, making them a flexible option when you need a little extra support but don't require a full 50-minute session.
Sessions: $60 (30 minutes)
Format: Virtual or phone
Virtual Counselling
Support from wherever you feel most comfortable.
Virtual counselling provides the same personalized therapeutic support from the comfort and privacy of your own home. This option can be especially helpful for those with busy schedules, transportation challenges, or who simply feel more comfortable connecting virtually.
Virtual sessions are available across Ontario, where permitted.
Sessions: $120 (50 minutes)
Format: Secure video session
